Firefighters and the Military Emergency Unit (UME) continue to work to extinguish the blaze. More than 20 ground vehicles are currently in the area, 13 of which are from the Community of Madrid, distributed among firefighters, forestry brigades, and drones.
It is planned that starting at 8:30 a.m., with daylight, aerial resources will also be able to be incorporated , which will seek to deepen direct attacks on the fire and begin to bring it under control.
However, according to the Madrid Regional Emergency Service (112), the wind forecast for this Friday is a cause for concern, as it could complicate the work to extinguish the fire that started in Méntrida.

As for the Calypo Fado residential area in Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo), the 50 residents of the approximately 150 homes who had to be evacuated due to the fire have been authorized to return to their homes . Two water trucks were dispatched to this residential complex to supply water to the residents, according to sources from the Community of Madrid Emergency 112.
In addition, the Civil Guard has been monitoring the development all night, checking that there were no people in the homes closest to the flames.
Finally, the roads have reopened , and there are no traffic disruptions due to the fire, which even closed both the A-5 and M-600 highways so "firefighting work could be carried out."
The fire started at 3:02 p.m. this Thursday in Méntrida (Toledo), after being detected by a permanent security guard. At 7:00 p.m., the Community Emergency Services confirmed that the forest fire had crossed the territorial boundaries of the Madrid region and that the affected area is the area surrounding the Calypo residential area and the municipalities of Navalcarnero and Villamanta, where the emergency services are coordinating their work. In Navalcarnero, around 50 residents were evacuated from their homes and have since been able to return.
Castilla-La Mancha and the Community of Madrid have decided that the Madrid region will lead the unified command for the fire that started this Thursday in Méntrida (Toledo), which has already consumed 2,500 hectares of pasture and agroforestry land.
The Madrid 112 Security and Emergency Agency (ASEM112) has also reported that the Military Emergency Unit (UME) has been deployed to the site to conduct reconnaissance and clearance work, following the regional government's request for its activation.
