Nine people tried in Brive for drug trafficking between Corrèze and Dordogne

Following a major raid in the heart of Brive on June 13, nine people were tried by the criminal court on Wednesday, August 13, for major drug trafficking that extended as far as Dordogne and Terrassonnais.
According to France 3 Pays de Corrèze and "La Montagne," the Brive courthouse was cordoned off by police on Wednesday, August 13, with a significant risk of unrest. The reason: Nine people, six men and three women, were tried by the criminal court for drug trafficking. This trafficking primarily affected Corrèze, but also Dordogne and Terrassonnais. All this dates back to June 16, after the arrest of these people in the center of Brive by around sixty gendarmes following an investigation lasting several months.
Brive Public Prosecutor Florence Leroux-Ghristi stated in a press release that in January 2025, the Brive prosecutor's office had contacted the Limoges investigation unit regarding drug trafficking in Corrèze and Dordogne. "The numerous investigations carried out made it possible to determine the structure, based on the Snapchat application, in order to offer the sale and organize the deliveries of products, such as cannabis grass and resin, heroin, and cocaine." Deliveries were made by bicycle, scooter, or car, mainly in Brive, but also in Corrèze and Dordogne. Between 50 and 100 customers were delivered every day, selling nearly a kilo of narcotics per day, for a turnover of up to €50,000. The hearing was intended to determine the role of each person, where eight of the nine defendants were repeat offenders.
