In Campania the gender gap is 'more marked' on financial issues

In Italy there is a gender gap that sees women as "more fragile" with respect to financial issues and insurance, a gap that is even more marked in Campania. "This photograph is due to less access to the world economic rights of women - said Alessandra Grimoldi, Head of Communication & Content Marketing of Alleanza Insurance - but also the fact that women are starting to manage their financial resources later than the male peers: more than 30 percent of women say they have started to manage their own resources independently only after the age of 18 and also when women are in couples tend to delegate the management of finances to their partner family members, even when they are the main recipients of income". Reporting some Ipsos data, Grimoldi underlined that "women dedicate about 6 hours of time a day to care of home and family, in addition to carrying out their own business working hours, while men do not reach 2 hours. There is need to redefine priorities and things that need to be done to occupy at family level between the two partners because the economy and the part of economic and financial notions, management proactive use of money, has a strong impact on empowerment, on women's independence and self-determination".
