La Liste, a renowned international guide that aggregates thousands of reviews from over 400 sources , has released its annual hotel rankings for 2025. Originally founded to evaluate restaurants, La Liste applies a sophisticated algorithm to hotel accommodations, assigning each establishment a score out of 100. The result is a global ranking considered authoritative: for the second time, the 2025 edition recognizes ten “standout” hotels, assigning them the maximum score of 99.5, a sign of the exceptional quality of these addresses.

The 2025 List features ten elite properties (all with a score of 99.5) that make up the global top 10. This special ranking includes iconic hotels in Europe, Asia and America.

In particular, there are four hotels in Europe: La Réserve (Paris), Cheval Blanc (Paris) and two in London, The Connaught and the famous Savoy, while two American hotels (both from The Peninsula group) represent the Americas.

Completing the ranking are the Asian Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and the Peninsula Shanghai, as well as the Rosewood Mayakoba resort in the Mexican Caribbean.

Two Italian hotels among the best in the world in 2025 according to La Liste

Two Italian hotels appear in the world top 10 of La Liste 2025, both in Campania and overlooking the sea. The San Pietro di Positano (Positano, Amalfi Coast) and the JK Place Capri (Capri) were placed jointly with eight other luxury hotels at the top of the ranking, obtaining a record score of 99.5 out of 100.

Both hotels are famous for their unique features: The San Pietro in Positano is considered a valuable architectural work overlooking the cliff, an “architectural miracle” nestled in the nature of the Coast. The JK Place Capri instead stands out for its informal charm and the atmosphere of a private residence.
