Train strike on July 7th and 8th: guaranteed times and slots

MILAN – Possible disruptions are approaching for those traveling by train. Some trade unions have in fact proclaimed a strike that will also involve the personnel of the FS group from 9 pm tomorrow, July 7, until 6 pm on Tuesday, July 8. The workers who will protest will be members of Cub Trasporti and Usb due to the lack of agreement on the renewal of the national contract, signed instead by the main trade unions in the category (Filt-Cgil, Uiltrasporti , Ugl Ferrovieri, Fast-Confsal and Orsa Ferrovie ). Minimum services will be guaranteed in the protected time slots (from 6 am to 9 am and from 6 pm to 9 pm). Trenitalia , however, has announced that the strike could cause changes to the service also in the hours before and after the proclaimed timetable.
As for workers and users of other companies in the sector, Trenord explains that the strike could cause disruptions on all routes, so on Monday 7 July only trains departing before 9 pm and arriving by 10 pm will run regularly. On Tuesday 8 July, however, the service will be active exclusively for guaranteed trains, departing between 6 am and 9 am and between 6 pm and 9 pm. For the connection with Malpensa airport, in the event of the cancellation of the Malpensa Express , replacement buses will be activated without intermediate stops.
