A 58-year-old woman was attacked in broad daylight in the city center. Her life could not be saved.

According to the press officer of the Jarosław County Police Headquarters, Staff Sergeant Anna Długosz, the incident occurred yesterday (July 31st) in the Tysiąclecia Housing Estate in Radymno. A 58-year-old woman was attacked by a 36-year-old Radymno resident. The man beat the victim, causing her to lose consciousness. Despite first aid provided by police officers who arrived at the scene, monitoring her vital signs until the ambulance crew arrived, and transporting her to the hospital, the woman died. The attacker, who fled the scene, was apprehended by a passerby. He also managed to damage two cars.
Officers from the Radymno police station received a call about the same man yesterday before 2 p.m. The call came from his mother, who told police that her son had discontinued treatment, was aggressive, and posed a threat to her and others. Unfortunately, officers found only the reporting person at the couple's home.
"A woman reported that her 36-year-old son was aggressive and had left his residence in an unknown direction. While officers were investigating the circumstances of the report and determining the man's physical appearance, the officer on duty at the Jarosław police station received reports of two cars damaged and a woman assaulted in the Tysiąclecia housing estate in Radymno," reports Staff Sergeant Anna Długosz.
During the course of their investigation, police officers checked the attacker's sobriety. He was not under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance. A detailed examination of the scene was conducted, securing evidence and identifying witnesses. Investigations are currently underway under the supervision of the prosecutor. These will help determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
