Amber Room in the Gold Train? Team's Clear Position

Amber Room in the Gold Train? Team's Clear Position

The Golden Train, which is supposed to be located in the south of Lower Silesia, is just a legend? Not necessarily. A group of researchers – who are currently hiding their identities from the public – are certain that three wagons filled with the precious metal are located within the buffer zone of the Książ Landscape Park. The team is waiting for decisions from state entities – including the State Forests – to be able to begin extensive work in Wałbrzych. The response from the State Forests has recently arrived.

“We have received approval for the first stage, i.e. metal detectors,” one of the enthusiasts informed us via email.

The "ZP 2025" team writes that, however, the second and third stages have not been permitted yet. "We wanted to cut down the trees before these stages. We did not know that these poor, stunted trees are a strictly protected area. We will prepare our research project so as not to damage any trees and shrubs - and then there is a good chance that we will receive permission for stages II and III, i.e. geophysical devices and a drilling rig," our interlocutor explains.

The Amber Room on the "Golden Train"? "More Nonsense from Storytellers"

The news about the Golden Train is followed by numerous speculations about what may be in the old carriages. On popular platforms, users write about the "amber room" . This is a lost hall decoration, created in Germany on the order of Frederick William I. Many tons of amber of enormous value were used to create the work. At the beginning of the first half of the 18th century, the King of Prussia gave the room as a gift to Tsar Peter I the Great. It ended up in the Ekaterinsky Palace in Tsarskoye Selo (near St. Petersburg). However, it was stolen in 1941 (by the Germans) and stored in Königsberg. Four years later, the Nazis took the work away due to the Red Army advancing westwards.

In 2003, a copy of the interior was created – it is located in Tsarskoye Selo. The director and artistic director of the team that worked on the project was the amber master and conservator – Aleksandr Zhuravlov. It cost 11.35 million dollars, and during the first, ceremonial presentation of the “eighth wonder of the world” (as it is called), the following were present: the President of Russia – Vladimir Putin and the leader of the United States – George Bush.

To this day, however, it is not known what happened to the original. The group gathered around the "Golden Train 2025" project is convinced that it should not be expected that the legendary room was placed in one of the carriages. "Theories about the Amber Room in these carriages are nonsense! The assets of the Third Reich were taken away from the Bank of Wrocław, primarily gold, and this was done before the siege of Wrocław, not at the end of April or May. This is another nonsense told by storytellers," assesses a member of the team.

The “Golden Train 2025” project. There will be a press conference. “We will reveal the results of our research”

What else do we know about the Golden Train project? "We have the results of multi-day dowsing studies, which were performed by the world's best dowser. They are very accurate and show the scale we are dealing with. There is no train inside, but there are three carriages - exactly three," inform enthusiasts. Dowsing studies are considered pseudoscience in the expert community - they consist of locating, for example, water veins or mineral deposits by analyzing so-called radiations.

The team also announced what will happen in the coming weeks. "Most likely, we will hold a press conference at the end of July and reveal the results of our research," informs "M." - this is how the Wprost portal's interlocutor signed the e-mail.
