Dry taps in Świnoujście on Friday morning

Residents of several streets in Świnoujście have been struggling with water shortages since early Friday morning. The Water and Sewage Department reported a major water main failure, which forced a temporary interruption of water supply in some areas of the city.

The supply interruption affects buildings located on the following streets:

- Witosa: numbers from 10 to 10H,- Matejki: 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and ranges 37–37D, 39–39D, 40–40D, as well as 41, 43, 43A, 45, 45A, 46–46D,

- Kołłątaja 20, 22, 24, 26,- Malczewski: numbers 15–22.

Due to the disruptions, the Świnoujście Water and Sewage Company (ZWiK) has set up emergency drinking water collection points. Water barrels have been placed at Matejki Street 39 and 46 and will be available to residents until the work is completed, said Wojciech Basałygo from the Świnoujście City Hall.

According to the services, the estimated time to repair the outage is Friday, August 1, by 1:00 p.m. The Road and Motorway Authority apologizes for any inconvenience and urges drivers to exercise extreme caution in the area of the ongoing work.
