Maintaining or damaging the greenery? Resident has doubts.

– By the road stretching from Ostrów towards Łowce, someone drastically cut down bushes and trees, which in my opinion has little to do with professional greenery maintenance – a man alerted us, noting that such actions lead to the destruction of nature.

The caller also questioned whether such treatments should be performed during the tree protection period, which generally lasts from March to mid-October and imposes restrictions on tree care. We received photos as proof. Not dissatisfied with this reader's request, we contacted the District Road Authority in Jarosław regarding the work performed, as it was carried out within the roadway. We asked several questions, including whether the work was performed by an external company with the appropriate training and expertise, whether it was performed in-house; whether the work was done by hand or using specialized tools; and whether it could be performed during the tree protection period. We also asked for clarification as to whether, in the opinion of the District Road Authority, basic tree care principles were followed in this case and whether the work was carried out in accordance with good practice.
