Caldas wins the second edition of the Termas Rainha Dona Leonor Trophy

Pelicanos beat U. Leiria's U-23s 2-0, with goals from Gonçalo Chaves and Bi Djei, both in the second half
Caldas presented its squad to members this Saturday for the second edition of the Termas Rainha Dona Leonor Trophy, and this time the prize stayed at home. In the final test before the start of Liga 3, the black and whites defeated the U. Leiria U-23 team.
After a goalless first half, the goals came in the second half, the first scored by Gonçalo Chaves, from a penalty for a foul on Gonçalo Barreiras.
The second goal came in the final minutes, scored by Bi Djei, a young forward who spent pre-season with the main team, but will progress with Caldas' B team.
For the match, José Vala fielded 26 players – the 25 available from the main squad and the young forward from the B team. Before the match, the squad members were called up one by one, complete with fireworks.

Caldas kicks off Liga 3 at Campo da Mata against Sp. Covilhã, in a match that will take place on Saturday, August 9th, at 6 pm.
