Captain America!

Elon Musk is the new Captain America. Yes, the one from Marvel, but this time very real, in flesh, blood and dollars. He wants, of course, to become a heroic symbol of justice and patriotism. In this bold move, Musk is launching, or rather, has already launched, the third party in the United States – the “America Party” – thus making a splash in the traditionally bipolar (in many ways) American political system. He has even polled 1.2 million of his followers on the “X” network.

This modern Captain America is multiple in his states of mind: courageous, altruistic, deeply patriotic, endowed with an iron sense of justice and freedom, protector of the most fragile (some days), and capable of inspiring confidence and hope among his devoted followers.

As befits any self-respecting superhero, Musk has superhuman powers: surprising speed, increased resistance and agility, heightened senses and accelerated regenerative capacity, as well as immunity to diseases and poisons.

But there is something else: he owns a fortune estimated at billions of dollars, a unique characteristic that allows him to found any party he wants in the US. He will not be president, of course, but he could well become a senator or a member of the House of Representatives, taking with him a vast legion of supporters.

With his famous shield, Musk is already a real headache for Trump. Even in the apparent comfort of his second term, the former President could feel the deflection of Republican votes, compromising his majority in Congress and leaving him politically weakened. American politics has definitely become a puppet show.
