The draw for the first two rounds of the Portuguese Cup took place this Friday. Caldas will kick off the competition at Campo da Mata, hosting Portomosense, one of the representatives of the Leiria district competitions. The Pelicans are placed in Series E, which also has two other representatives from the region. Nazarenos, who qualified as finalists of the Leiria AF Cup (won by Caldas B), host Sourense, from the Coimbra district, while Peniche also kicks off the competition at home, against Ferreira do Zêzere, from the Santarém district.

Series E also features the Naval-Ac. Fundão and Marinhense-Samora Correia matches.

The draw held at Cidade do Futebol also determined the lineup for the second round, which includes teams from the 2nd Division. This stage was a free draw. If Caldas advances past the first round, they will continue to play at home and will face Fátima, from the Campeonato de Portugal, who were exempted from the first round.

For Nazarenos, Paços de Ferreira, from the 2nd League, is in store, while Peniche will also play at home against the winner of the match between Lajense and 1.º Dezembro.

This draw included the 116 clubs that entered the first round (44 representing the District Associations, 54 from the Portuguese Championship and 18 from League 3), of which 38 were exempt. In the second round, clubs from the 2nd League joined.

The 1st round matches of the Generali Tranquilidade Portuguese Cup are scheduled for August 30th and 31st and the 2nd round matches are scheduled for September 20th and 21st.
