Dog accompanies owner who was run over by ambulance
š¶ Anyone who has a loyal " dog companion " knows that they can count on their little animal for any situation. It was in a tense moment that a dog showed loyalty to her owner in RS.
After the 69-year-old man was run over on BR-386, between Passo Fundo and Soledade , on Thursday (8), the dog that accompanied him refused to leave him ā not during the treatment on the asphalt, not inside the ambulance, not at the hospital door. See video above.
"When we put him in the ambulance, she jumped in. And who said she would take him out? We weren't going to leave her there, in the middle of the asphalt either," said rescuer Luiz Henrique Bohrer, who recorded the video.

During the journey to the Frei Clemente Hospital, in Soledade, the dog remained motionless, next to her owner . When they arrived, she went to the emergency room door .
The man was transferred to a hospital in Passo Fundo. His identity was not released.
"It's an unusual story for us, who work in rescue. When we arrived at the scene, we carried out all the procedures and she (the dog) stayed by our side," he commented.
The dog was taken in by a local NGO, which will care for her until she can be reunited with her owner.
"A little over an hour later, this NGO showed up at the hospital to pick her up and take care of her until she was better," Bohrer reported.
Animal rights volunteer MƔrcia Souza said the dog is at her house and calmer.
"I didn't think twice about going to the hospital and picking her up," she said. "I gave her flea and worm medicine and lots of love," said MƔrcia, who has been helping NGOs raise funds since 2014.
