Court approves Limak's Gerenkuyu plunder

A decision was made in the lawsuit filed by the local people against the decision of the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change that "EIA is not required" for Gerenkuyu Beach, the only free public beach in Bodrum. The court panel decided to reject the lawsuit.

The neighborhood's lawyer, Remzi Kazmaz, stated that they will take the decision to the Council of State and said:

"The decision of the Muğla 3rd Administrative Court became a nightmare for the people of Bodrum, Kızılağaç, Yalçiftlik on the holiday. The court decision gifted Gerenkuyu beach to Limak AŞ. The court's decision surprised us all, but we did not lose our faith in the law. We will apply to the Council of State. The people's beach belongs to the people. No power will be able to take this beach from the people of Bodrum," he said.
