Icicles formed on their bodies
The extreme cold that affected all of Turkey also had a negative impact on wildlife.
Flamingos, who continue to winter in Lake Eğirdir, one of the important lakes of Turkey, were affected by the extreme cold.

In Isparta, where the air temperature dropped to minus 10 degrees in some places, icicles formed on the bodies of flamingos wintering in the lake.

In the photos taken by photographers Mustafa Dinç, Murat Atabay and Levent Pekmezcan, who went to the lake yesterday morning to photograph the flamingos in the region, the icicles that formed on the points of the bodies of the flamingos feeding in the lake that came into contact with the water drew attention.

Photographers who observed the flamingos spending the winter in the Hoyran area of the lake were surprised to see icicles on the animals' bodies.
Flamingos were seen continuing to feed despite the icicles.
