Worker shuttle overturns: 25 agricultural workers injured

Belen, Hatay – A terrible accident occurred in the Kıcı area of ​​Belen district on the Antakya-İskenderun highway of Hatay on the morning of June 2, 2025. A shuttle minibus carrying agricultural workers lost control of the steering wheel and overturned and turned upside down.

The accident occurred at around 04:00. The driver of the minibus with the registration number 80 ABE 159, Mustafa K. (35), lost control and the vehicle overturned on the side of the road. In the accident, the roof of the minibus was completely destroyed and 25 of the 26 agricultural workers in the vehicle were injured. It was reported that 8 of the injured were Syrians.

Upon notification of the incident, numerous health, fire and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. Fire crews rescued the injured trapped in the vehicle and handed them over to the 112 Emergency Health teams. The injured, who received first aid at the scene of the accident, were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. While no detailed information was given about the health conditions of the injured, it was learned that their treatment was ongoing.
