The Ministry has taken action: The price of the product will be based on the price from 10 days ago.

The Ministry of Commerce recently warned sellers and providers organizing discounted sales campaigns to use prices from 30 days ago as a basis to prevent consumers from being deceived.
The current Price Tag Regulation also requires that the lowest price applied in the previous 30 days be used as the basis for determining discounted prices. The Ministry of Trade has taken a new step in this regard, stipulating that the lowest price applied in the previous 10 days, rather than the previous 30 days, be used as the basis for determining discounted prices.
According to a report in Türkiye Newspaper, the Ministry's draft amendment to the Price Tag Regulation stipulates that the pre-discounted sales price of a discounted good or service will be determined by the lowest price applied in the 10 days prior to the discount. The product's promotion, advertising, or label will include both the price from the previous 10 days and the discounted price.
The Advertising Board had imposed finesWhen calculating the discount amount or percentage on labels, tariffs, and price lists for perishable goods and services, such as fruits and vegetables, the price before the discount will be taken into account. The Ministry of Trade's Advertising Board found 753 of the 12,499 cases it reviewed in the first half of this year to be in violation of legislation. A total of 141,123,000 lira in administrative fines was imposed.
