Bimbo will invest 37.7 billion pesos in 7 states

Bimbo announced during the morning press conference of Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum that it will invest 3.7 billion pesos in 9 municipalities across 7 states from 2025 to 2028.
This Thursday, Ximena Escobedo Juárez , head of the Productive Development Unit and head of the Office of the Ministry of Economy, reported on the injection, and detailed that the investment will generate 2,000 direct jobs and more than 10,800 indirect jobs .

"The investment will be deployed in seven states and nine municipalities across the country: Baja California, Mexicali, Tijuana, Yucatan, Merida, Mexico City, Azcapotzalco, Nuevo Leon, Salinas-Victoria, Querétaro, Marqués, Puebla-Puebla, and Toluca and Lerma in the State of Mexico," the federal official added.
For his part, the bakery's general manager, José Manuel González Guzmán , stressed that this action is part of his support for the " Plan México " of the Sheinbaum Pardo Government, and that the intention is to meet 3 primary objectives .

"First, it will allow us to increase our productive, technological, development, and innovation capacity to continue bringing nutritious, affordable, and delicious products to all Mexicans (…) Second, this investment will help us become more sustainable every day. We will continue modernizing our fleet of electric delivery vehicles (…) Third, this $2 billion investment will bring shared well-being. It will allow us to continue working with Mexican farmers who grow corn, wheat, potatoes, and other ingredients that nourish our products," he explained.

In turn, he indicated that the more than 37 billion pesos are part of Bimbo's actions to promote the country's well-being .
"And we join the initiatives promoted by the Federal Government, such as the Package to Combat Inflation and the High Cost of Basic Food, the Water Security and Sustainability Agreement, the Mexico Te Abraza program, and the Made in Mexico campaign. With the investment we announce today, we reaffirm our support for Plan Mexico, promoted by the Federal Government to spur growth and strengthen the national economy," he emphasized.
