Saltillo: Javier Díaz delivers paving work in Virreyes Popular and announces more road projects

Javier Díaz reiterated his commitment to the city's connectivity and highlighted joint projects with the State Government to improve road infrastructure.

The mayor of Saltillo, Javier Díaz González , announced that during the second half of the year, paving work will continue in all sectors of the city, as part of the commitment to provide safe and decent roads for families .

Key expansions are also underway, such as the Nazario S. Ortiz Garza Boulevard, which will connect the Saltillo 2000 neighborhood with Vito Alessio Robles Boulevard, and the Derramadero Highway, which will improve mobility in the south of the city.

Díaz González emphasized that these projects are being carried out with the support of Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, with whom he is coordinating important connectivity projects, such as the bridge project over Fundadores Boulevard, near the Misión Cerritos neighborhood, which will begin this year.

Delivery of work in Virreyes Popular

In this context, the mayor led the dedication of a paving project in the Virreyes Popular neighborhood, where he stated that these types of projects have a direct impact on the quality of life of its residents.

"Here we are fulfilling our commitments. Today we are delivering on a highly-requested project, which also increases security and facilitates mobility for those who live in this neighborhood ," he said.

The project involved paving 150 linear meters of Bernardo M. de Gálvez Street, between Juan de Mendoza and Luxemburgo, as well as constructing sidewalks to improve pedestrian traffic.

"Works like this transform the daily lives of Saltillo families, who will now be able to go about their daily activities with decent streets," the councilor added.

During the delivery, residents thanked the mayor for keeping his promises and addressing a request that had been pending for years.

LISTENING AND COMPLYING, THE KEY TO MUNICIPAL WORK

During the event, residents like Anabel Cervantes thanked the mayor for fulfilling the commitments he made to the community. “ This administration is delivering; we have a mayor who not only listens, but responds, a mayor who walks the streets and delivers,” she said.

Javier Díaz reiterated his commitment to urban development, emphasizing that his government is working to ensure Saltillo maintains positive indicators such as being the safest , most competitive, and most formal capital in the country.

Also present at the event were Eduardo Morelos Jiménez, council member and president of the Planning, Urban Development, Public Works, and Historic Center Commission; Ernesto Siller Torres, Director of Social Development; and Antonio Nerio Maltos, Director of Infrastructure and Public Works.
