The city has announced the tender for the design of a water playground on the boulevards.

The topic of a water playground, protested by residents of the Witosa housing estate in Jarosław, returns to city council meetings from time to time. This was also the case at a recent extraordinary session, due to the urgent need to begin work on the project and quickly obtain a water permit. The city has also already selected a contractor for the design documentation.
A water playground has been a hot topic in Jarosław recently. Initially, the idea caused quite a stir due to its intended location, the Witosa housing estate. After protests from residents of building no. 11, the closest to the planned attraction, the city and the housing cooperative withdrew their plans. Residents had already provided examples of other locations for such attractions, such as the San River boulevards. At the time, the city explained that it wanted a larger-scale water playground there. And so it will be. As previously reported, during the last extraordinary session, councilors secured PLN 103,320 for the development of design documentation. This was made possible by the release of funds resulting from tender savings made on other investments. Since the local government submitted an application to the Marshal's Office for funding from the Jarosław-Przeworsk Urban Development Fund, which accelerated the pace of the project, it became necessary to begin work on the project. The city has announced a tender for design documentation for the construction of a water playground, including the necessary infrastructure and plantings, as well as obtaining a building permit.
According to the documents, the children's water playground facilities are to be located near the existing boulevard maintenance building, which houses restrooms, showers, office space, storage, and utility rooms. These spaces are to be used for the playground's needs. The area covered by the planned investment is well-lit, includes pedestrian and bicycle paths, and is landscaped.
