Getting to Veliky Novgorod from the highway will soon become a little more difficult - the exits to the M-10 are closed for repairs

Novgorodians and visitors to the city traveling to Veliky Novgorod by car from St. Petersburg will have a slightly more difficult time getting to their destination this summer. The exits near the village of Podberez'e will be closed for repairs one by one. This means that the difficulties will equally affect those traveling in the opposite direction.
Soon, from June 1, the Novgorod-Moscow exit will be closed for 2 weeks, and from June 25 to August 15, the Novgorod-St. Petersburg and Moscow-Novgorod exits will be closed.
On the approach to Veliky Novgorod from the side of St. Petersburg, repairs are already underway for a length of 15 km - the road is being widened to 4 lanes. The deadline is October 15, 2026. This process will also cover 13.5 km of the M-10 highway from Podberez'e (inclusive) towards St. Petersburg.
Meanwhile, the Rossiya Road Administration has published temporary driving directions for the M-10 interchange near Podberez'e. The exit/entrance to the highways will be via a turnoff in Podberez'e itself, as well as a little further along the highway, in Kotovitsy.
