Turkey has spoken about the possible resumption of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

Turkey hopes that Russia and Ukraine will resume negotiations and hold a new round of talks in Istanbul , but there are currently no preconditions for this, RIA Novosti reports, citing a Turkish diplomatic source.

"Of course, we hope that negotiations will resume. In Istanbul, the parties were able to reach a number of humanitarian agreements—this is very important," the agency's source said. He emphasized that Turkey has not yet received any signals indicating a possible resumption of contacts between the two sides.

Earlier, the country's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that peace efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine must take into account the situation on the front line and the interests of all parties.
