Fire in Avcılar: 3 injured, 1 seriously

The fire broke out around 10:00 a.m. on Bursa Street in the Cihangir Neighborhood of Avcılar. According to reports, a generator caused a fire in an apartment on the third floor of a five-story building that was said to be without electricity. The fire quickly spread throughout the apartment. Two people in the apartment were trapped inside due to the fire. The trapped citizens climbed to the window and called for help. Two citizens trapped inside the apartment panicked and jumped from the window. A total of three people were injured due to the fire, and one is reported to be in critical condition. Numerous firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene upon the call. Firefighters rescued two citizens trapped on the upper floors and extinguished the fire. The three injured people were taken to the hospital after receiving first aid. The moment a citizen, trapped in the apartment, jumped from the window in a desperate attempt to survive was captured second by second on a mobile phone. The footage shows the moment the resident, trapped in the apartment, hanging from the window, jumping down and crashing onto the concrete.
A resident who stated that his aunt lived in the building where the fire broke out said, "We heard about the fire from neighbors. As we were coming here, the building was on fire. A girl threw herself down and a man was burned. He jumped and fell directly onto the concrete. His arms, hands, and face were badly damaged. My aunt lived in this building. The fire department came and put it out. Since there was no electricity in the building, most of the apartments were empty. The contractor still hasn't provided electricity."
