Minister Güler: The army that uses electronic warfare tools most effectively is the Turkish Armed Forces

The Ministry of National Defense held its weekly press briefing at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025). Minister Güler met with members of the press in the hall during the meeting, which was led by Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, the Ministry's Spokesperson and Public Relations Advisor. Emphasizing the strong interest in IDEF 2025, Minister Güler said, "There's a huge crowd here. This place also appeals to the entire world. It's practically the largest fair we've ever held. Over 1,400 companies are participating, and there's great satisfaction. Approximately 41 Defense Ministers are participating. Our companies are doing their best, thankfully. But we believe we need to focus more on mass production now. Demand continues to increase daily. We also need to meet expectations on time."
"WE WILL CONTINUE OUR WORK IN MSB R&D"Minister Yaşar Güler, who also provided information about the Ministry of National Defense's R&D Center in response to questions from members of the press, said, "We've also displayed a few products at the stand there. That penetrating bomb isn't just any bomb. Where we used it, that bomb penetrated approximately 80 meters into the mountain. It's a real penetrating bomb. Bombs equivalent to it exist only in one or two countries and start at 6 tons. Ours is only 1 ton. God willing, we will continue our R&D efforts. We want to be like R&D; we want to work without talking every day." When asked whether the electronic warfare systems displayed at IDEF 2025 were used by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), Minister Yaşar Güler said, "We use them all. The Turkish Armed Forces are the most effective army in the world in using electronic warfare."
"WE PLAN TO OWN AROUND 40 AIRCRAFT"Regarding the Eurofighter aircraft procurement, Minister Yaşar Güler said, "We are continuing our work on this. You will be informed when the process is complete. We are signing today; we will be signing a document similar to a Memorandum of Understanding or a preliminary statement of intent. We plan to acquire around 40 aircraft, but there are various options for this, and we are working on them."
