A brawl broke out between Simpaş employees and citizens who blocked the public road in Marmaris!

The hotel and timeshare project planned to be built by Sinpaş/Kızılbük GYO in Kızılkum Bay in the Marmaris district of Muğla continues despite court decisions and the cancellation of a total of 58 licenses in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages by the Marmaris Municipality.

CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES DESPITE LICENSE CANCELLATIONS

According to the news in Agenda Fethiye; Marmaris Urban Policies Association members went to the National Park area, which includes the Sinpaş construction site, to make a press statement in support of Polatcan yesterday (May 23).

It was seen that the gate on Lovers' Hill, which had previously been removed as a result of the citizens' struggle and moved further down the road, was returned to its former place.

Citizens who came to the door demanded that the door be opened, stating that the road was open to public use. Company officials did not allow the citizens to pass.

PUBLIC NOT ALLOWED TO WALK ON THE ROAD

According to the information provided by Halime Şaman, a founding member of the Marmaris Urban Policies Association, it was stated that the National Parks Regional Directorate was called by citizens and they reported that people were not allowed to pass on the road.

Şaman reported that the authorities did not come to the area and take any action, but stated that citizens could use the road.

However, in the response to the petition submitted to the Marmaris National Park Directorate regarding the use of the road, it was stated that the road “has been used as a road since ancient times and is open to use by all official institutions and organizations, citizens and all legal entities.”

DEMOLITION INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN

In Marmaris, instructions were given to the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and Marmaris District Municipality to demolish the hotel renovation and construction that continues within the borders of the national park despite it being sealed due to illegal construction.
