After heavy snowfall, only 30% of street cleaners came out to clean the streets in Rostov

Snowfall heavily covered the Rostov region, paralyzing traffic on the roads and sidewalks. However, only 30% of street cleaners came out to clean the snow-covered streets. City residents began to complain en masse on the evening of February 24 about poorly cleared snow.
The city administration reported on the actions of 124 units of snow removal equipment and the involvement of street cleaners to clear pedestrian areas. Nevertheless, social networks are full of complaints from city residents about uncleared streets.
Acting head of the administration, Alexander Skryabin, said on February 24 that only 30% of the required number of janitors had started cleaning.
The authorities assured that work on clearing city territories resumed at five in the morning on February 25. In addition, management companies and housing and communal services received instructions to ensure snow removal in courtyards. Administrative penalties are envisaged for failure to comply with these requirements.
