Britain names condition for Russia's return to G7

British Deputy Home Secretary Jarvis Calls Russia's Return to G7 Possible

Russia will be able to return to the Group of Seven (G7) if certain conditions are met, said Deputy Home Secretary Dan Jarvis, Times Radio reports.
"This is a topic that will be discussed with international allies," he noted.
However, according to him, this issue will be raised only after the end of the Ukrainian conflict. At the same time, Jarvis said, the country's Prime Minister Keir Starmer will also discuss this proposal at the upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump.
The day before, on February 24, Britain imposed new sanctions against Russia, explaining this by ensuring national security. The list of people banned from entering the country includes representatives of the "Russian elite", which includes heads of Russian companies, media outlets and officials. The list of names has not yet been published.
Donald Trump considers it a mistake that Russia was excluded from the G8 in 2014. And he will be glad to see it back. The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian state has lost interest in such a "small" format. The "Big Twenty" (G20) is more relevant for it.
Earlier, MK wrote that the United States of America threatened to withdraw support for the entire G7 statement on Ukraine.
