Robotics coding and artificial intelligence training will be given at the Tunceli Cemevi

A robotics coding and artificial intelligence training center has opened in Tunceli last year within the Yolkonak Village Hasan Hüseyin Culture and Cemevi, a building notable for its unusual architecture and commissioned by businessman Ali Büyükdağ. The project, implemented by the Dersim Education, Assistance and Solidarity Association (DEYDA-DER), aims to provide training for children and young people in informatics, robotics coding, artificial intelligence, and communication technologies under the name Dersim Science and Technology Institute.
Commenting on the project, DEYDA-DER President Hasan Güler stated that there have been dizzying developments in computer, robotics and communication technologies.
Guler noted the following:
We may not be able to fully follow this due to the challenges of the region we live in, and we may be falling behind. But if we want to prepare this region, our people, and our youth for the future, then we must bring these technologies and this education to this place; we must be a part of it. In other words, this place will continue to exist as a cemevi and continue to serve as a cemevi. Furthermore, we will implement this project here to contribute to education and to our youth.
"WE EXPECT SUPPORT FROM PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS"Businessman Ali Kadir Tanrıverdi, who contributed to the project, called on public institutions to support it, saying, "From today on, we will work with our other friends and institutions to carry out this project, which will benefit our society and provide opportunities for our youth. We must stand up for the values instilled in this region, and we must all undertake this struggle together. We expect this support from all our people, especially our institutions, our university, and our public institutions, to make this project more effective."
"WHY CAN'T THIS BE SILICON VALLEY"DEYDA-DER Vice President Ruziye Girgin Kandil stated that the cemevi will provide training in informatics fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and coding to young people. She said, "It may be a big dream, but why shouldn't this place be a Dersim Silicon Valley? I think it's a beautiful thing to even dream about. Everything starts with a single step, and we've taken this step."
Haydar Kocademir, Chairman of the DEYDA-DER Supervisory Board, said, "Our youth need to be educated in the best possible way. Just as Ali Nesin strived to educate young people and children in that field through his Mathematics Village, we are also striving to provide our youth with the best possible education in computers and computer technology."
